SBF 12 m
Twelve metres is the SBF indoor round for the youngest archers: twenty ends of three arrows, 60 arrows, maximum 600, the same end structure the adult indoor rounds use. Under 13 archers and the youngest longbow and traditional classes shoot the 60 cm face; Under 15 recurve, compound and barebow archers shoot the 40 cm. Keeping the full twenty-end format at a short distance is the point of the round — a young archer learns the rhythm of a real competition, the walk to the target and the discipline of scoring, at a length where the equipment is not the obstacle. The step from here to the 18 m round is a change of distance and nothing else.
