WA 50 m (compound)
Compound archers shoot their outdoor 720 at 50 m on the 80 cm face — a smaller target at a shorter distance, which lands the scoring rings at roughly the angular size a recurve archer sees at 70 m on the 122 cm. The round runs to twelve ends of six for 72 arrows and a maximum of 720, and covers the Under 18, Under 21, senior and 50+ classes. Because compound equipment groups tighter than the ring spacing at this distance, good scores cluster hard against the ceiling: the difference between a strong archer and a great one is often a handful of nines across the whole round, which makes the X count worth recording alongside the total.
